About DDSC
Development with Data Science (DDSC) is a Malawi-based applied data, programme design, and implementation organisation. We work at the intersection of agricultural systems, digital innovation, evidence use, and public-interest problem solving. Our role is to help translate research, data, and practical field knowledge into implementable solutions that respond to real institutional and community needs.

Why we exist
Many development and public-service challenges do not fail because ideas are absent, but because evidence, delivery systems, and lived realities are not brought together in practical ways. DDSC exists to close that gap. We help design and support solutions that are analytically sound, operationally realistic, and responsive to local contexts.
Our working model
DDSC is intentionally collaborative. We do not position ourselves as housing every capability internally. Instead, we lead where we are strongest—programme design, local coordination, partner management, implementation oversight, learning, and evidence use—while working with specialist collaborators when technical, academic, or institutional inputs are needed. This allows us to stay agile, delivery-focused, and fit for bounded implementation partnerships.
Our values
- Practicality over abstraction
- Local grounding and institutional realism
- Evidence-led decision support
- Partnership and complementarity
- Human oversight and responsible innovation
